Cancellation of academic calendar in Kenya.
When COVID-19 started It looked like a China's problem. As time went by,it dawned to all it wasnt but a global challenge.
In Kenya,its impact was felt from 13th march 2020 when the first case was reported. A day after all schools were closed down to control the spread of the virus.
Schools have been closed since then.
Yesterday,Prof George Magoha the minister in charge of education gave out the much awaited communication on the resumption of the school calendar. In his communication he said that schools can only open in January 2021 for both primary and secondary schools.
He also pointed out that its only tertiary institutions that will resume studies in september. this year.
As a result,KCSE and KCPE 2020 have been cancelled to be undertaken later next year.
Parents have to bear the burden of taking care of their children a's they remain at home until next year. . about the school
